The 20th Indian Ocean HIV and AIDS Colloquium will mark an important milestone in the Indian Ocean Island Countries’ HIV and AIDS response. It will take place from October 22nd to 24th, 2024, at the prestigious CCI Ivato in Antananarivo, Madagascar. It will bring together researchers, regional experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders to discuss and devise innovative novel strategies for the HIV and AIDS response.

Preparing the Venue: A Testimony of Devotion


Before this event, I recently had the opportunity to visit CCI Ivato. The preparations are in full gear, focusing on a lively and friendly space. Every little detail is being managed correctly so that the environment may be representative of the importance of this gathering. From landscaping to logistics, commitment can be felt everywhere, and it will be interesting to see such interest in the success of this colloquium.

UN Week 2024: "Synergy and Cooperation


It will take place during UN Week 2024, scheduled for October 22nd-25th. The week will also include several publicity programs to reconfirm international cooperation in sustainable development. Some programs will take place in CCI Ivato to improve synergy and impact.


The Significance of the Colloquium


Each country in this Indian Ocean region faces specific challenges in its fight against the epidemic. This colloquium is an important platform where we share knowledge, experiences of best practices, and innovative solutions. Coming from diverse backgrounds, we can encourage collaboration and the creation of strategies that better meet the needs of our communities. Keynote speakers, panel discussions, and workshops throughout the day will ensure opportunities for meaningful dialogue and concrete outcomes.


With this epoch-making event at our threshold, we invite all professionals in public health, HIV/AIDS studies, and international development to join in this colloquium. We greatly need your insight and inspiration to move our goals forward. Together, we can make a difference in enabling a healthy future.

           Présentation du programme PNLIS Le Programme National de Lutte contre les Infections Sexuellement Transmissibles et le SIDA (PNLIS) est un programme ministériel sous la tutelle de la Direction de Lutte contre les Maladies Transmissibles, relevant de la Direction Générale de la Médecine Préventive.
